About Us

Hi everyone and welcome to our Food Truck website. My name is Kay and my husbands name is Justin. Cooking has always been a passion of mine right from a little girl.

I used to spend my time baking with my Nan in the kitchen whenever she came to visit for a holiday. My Nan always used to bake the yummiest of home made English dishes. By the time I was 16 years old I wanted to be chef. Justin grew up in the kitchen he loves food. His grandfather used to have a restaurant and his mother is an excellent cook too.

Well time went by and life went on, I never became a chef but that did not stop me from cooking. Justin and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and keep saying how we need to put together our dishes. Well here we are today 19 years later and have decided to share our creations. I must say he does cook well and through him and his family my taste buds have been able to experience a wide variety of foods.

Our friends would often ask us for our recipes, which meals they can make which are nutritious and affordable? A few of our younger bachelor friends eat a lot of take out (which becomes costly) and this leads to eating non nutritious meals such as 2 min noodles. 2 min noodles is not food guys!! And definitely not nutritious. We would then help our fellow friends learn how to cook a decent meal on an affordable budget. So here we are ready and excited to share our budget meals as well as other delicious recipes. A few years back we used to run a cooking school teaching kids from the ages of 3 -12 years the basics of cooking and safety in the kitchen our own children used to join us in these classes as well as their friends.

Learning to cook will help you understand world cultures, customs and flavors. You will also learn life skills like eating healthy, budgeting your money, and cleaning. Save some cash. We could all do with extra cash. Cooking is less expensive than eating at restaurants, fast food joints and school cafeterias.

We’re grateful to have learned basic cooking skills at a young age

To teach others young and old to be creative think out the box and have fun when it comes to food, learn to lead a healthy lifestyle by eating the right way. Treat yourself to some nice cheat meals once per week. I know for those who even dieting you need to reward yourself for the healthy eating you do during the week. Once per week treat yourself to a decent dessert it well deserved.
